I had my proxy sensor up so high, if u walked within 2-3 feet, it would throw a warning chirp and I would get pages if I was close. I also payed extra for battery back up and the horn honk relay with addition of air horns.

I really should have invested in a much better alarm, but I was only 17-19 at the time when most of this was going down. It just kept happening to the point where I fell out of love with it cause it was more stressful than enjoyable to own.

Just be glad they were amateurs, pros would have left you with no car at all.

buddy of mine (CA) as well had his fuel tank ripped...thieves siphoned gas. 2k to replace, insurance covered it. He had a fuel cap lock for the next time, and it happened again to him. Except he only ha 1/4th tank of gas in there at the time. I guess the thieves got pissed he was low on fuel so they smashed his windows. WTH indeed. I hate vandals as much as I hate thieves.
