i have 04 problems
i posted about the clicking hinge before, right after i purchased my car, but i just didn't want to take my brand new car into the dealer, so some "bob" can put his greasy hands on my steering wheel and go joy riding for a road test..... i had a hard time purchasing this car and i just wanted to enjoy it.... i think i found the suspension noise a little later and i think the steering wheel rub was there in the beginning , but probably unnoticed, because i was to busy
now the malfunctioner lamp turns on and now i must go to the dealer.... i called several dealers and they all say its alright to drive, since its an edmissions light.... i don't know.... if i had an acura they would serivce me right away with a loaner no problem.... i love honda and their vechicles, but the service SUCKSSS...

emril,
Try calling Los Gatos Honda. I've dropped by to have them check my car before, and they've always been cool about it. The only time they won't check your car right away is when their mechanics are on break or lunch.
My CEL came on a few days ago, and it was a loose fuel cap. The CEL didn't come on until several days after my last fill-up, so it's possible that you have the same problem. If you can't make it to the dealer, tighten the cap and then wait. For mine, it took 3 somewhat lengthy drives for the CEL to go away after I tightened the cap.

on top of that i have clicking going on the passenger convertible hinge
. After some minor exploration I found that there are little plastic cosmetic "covers" over the inside-most hinge piece (just a couple inches long), that are held down with a single screw on each side that were the cause. When I unscrewed them I found there was what looked like thread sealer or something around the heads of the screws. Cleaned the residue off the screws and the holes in the covers and put them back on. No more clicking
. It's funny that such a little thing can really dampen one's enthusiasm for a new car. I still have one more clicking noise that's not nearly so bad coming from somewhere down around the radio that I need to search and destroy
. ron
I just had the CEL came on last week. Checked the user manual and it said it's only an emision problem with the engine. Took it to the dealer 3 times before they said it is going to cost me around $2200 to fix it, since it's not going to be covered under warranty. See my other thread "bad cylinder #3, not covered under warranty". I'm going to take my car to another dealer to get it examined. I don't think my current dealer service dept knows much about fixing a s2000.
Service really can depend on the dealer. The BMW dealer here will only give you good service if you have bought multiple cars from them. If it's your first or second BMW or one you bought used, you get bottom of the line service. At the Honda dealer I take my car to, they know me by name, will give me a rental in a second(never needed it forutnately), will shuttle me to anywhere I want while my car is being worked on, and they've even let me take the S2000 demo car out as long as I want while the car is being worked on. This is some good service, and it totally depends on the dealer. Fortunately, most of the Honda dealers around here are nice. After buying my Subaru, I noticed some scratched paint on my spoiler, they offered to take it in and have it repainted. Seems like something a dealership would do since I noticed the day after I bought it and I know it wasn't me and it was in a garage all night. Well, I called another dealer about it first because they were closer to me, and they basically told me to screw myself.
