You need to tell your dealer to get a sanity check. I can share this information from one of 400 Honda dealers that I have access to.
Honda Op Code #111100 2001 Short Block, New R&R
Parts = $3000.30 straight list
Labor @ $75 per hour (16.3 hours) = 1222.50
Tax & Shop Supplies (estimate) = $225.00
Total Turn Key out the door = $4450 ish from the Honda Dealer
*the only adds will be the spark plugs, filters, belts & hoses as needed.
