I Need Help!!!
I picked up my new S2000 on July 1st. Everything was great. I love the car!!!
Here's the bad news; On Saturday July 6th, a Chevy Avalanche with dealer plates backed into my stopped S2000. The truck backed half way over my hood before stopping. I could not believe what was happening. I was devastated.
After calling the police and completing a report I called my dealership. They had me bring the car in and surveyed the damage. The dealer indicated the front bumper, left fender, and the hood would have to be completely replaced. Fortunately he indicated there did not seem to be any mechanical damage.
The dealership said since the car that hit me had dealer plates the other dealership would be responsible for the damage. This is apparently a good thing, although nothing seemed good to me at the time.
I am now left wondering whether the car will be ok after the repairs. How will this effect the car in the long run? Some friends have told me I should hold out for a new vehicle, but how realistic is that? Will the other dealership be willing to go as far as providing a new car?
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
HELP........

If it were me, I would be putting so much pressure on them to buy the dam car back (have them fix it however they want) and get them to supply you another car at the same price - your car was only 5 days old !!! I do not see another option... Call a lawyer if you have to, but you need to do a lot of posturing with the dealership to make them do good on this....
good luck...
good luck...
