Talk to your fellow countryman Luis. I believe he has the Alpine adaptor cable and may be able to tell you if the head unit you're looking at is compatible.
BTW, let's see those wheels on a blue S

I had a new deck installed today and they ordered the PAC unit for me. I copied your webpage and gave it to them. Well it turns out that they had problems (even though they assured me it would be a simple install). Im not exactly sure how they hooked it up but it cant be programmed. You hit the program button and it blinks but wont stay lit. I am going to call PAC tomorrow, but I was wondering if you had any ideas??

Like CR said, see my webpage...the most likely cause is an odd resistance on your stook, and that can be taken care of with a different external resistor value. If that doesn't solve the problem, let us know, and we'll figure something else out.
West,
I reminded you of that problem with the pac unit. Its the resistor. It needs to upped to 3.3k "red-red-orange-gold" bands on it.
The resistor "bridges" the green and black wire. make sure its soldered to the wires and then covered over with electrical tape.
I had the SAME problem, and the new resistor worked for me!
