I refused S2000 from Dealer.
Mine had 2 miles with the plastic inside and I specified that I did not want the car washed or filled with dealership gas. It would be terrible to get a car with more than 5 miles on the ODO. More than 5 and you can bet that someone tested it and VTEC'd the heck out of it!
I think you guys are overrreacting..... i mean 70 more miles on a car is practically nothing, The one i test drove had 26 miles and to me thats a brand new car, but to some of you its "used" I guess its a matter of trust

when your car konks out with 100K on the meter, are you going to blame the 95 miles on delivery for its downfall??
some people are anal about the most ludicrous things.....
I drove 2 hours each way to test drive a used S2000 and I ran it to the rev-limiter everytime it was possible. That was the only way I could decide if the car was right for me. When i picked up my S2000 it had six miles on it. If it had 95 on it I would have walked away. The break-in on this car is just to important.
Before I picked up my new S, I was reading in a Mustang magazine about how this truck transport driver who picks up cars and delivers them to dealerships "loves" to "test"drive them in the parking lots prior to putting them on the truck. He specifically mentioned the S2000 as a personal favorite to redline!!! So, no matter the miles, the car could still have been abused prior to delivery, even on a mundane trip to the pumps to fill 'er up by the salesman. ...............

there could be 1 mile on it, but who knows if the car was red-lined through every gear, putting that one mile on!!
it's impossible to know.....so, why worry about it.....
that's why the argument makes no sense......there could be 1 mile on it, but who knows if the car was red-lined through every gear, putting that one mile on!! it's impossible to know.....so, why worry about it.....
If you minimize the mileage on a new s2k, you are minimizing the potential mileage of abused driving.
Well, when I bought my Harley Truck (my daily driver), the salesman was telling me "get on it, you gotta feel the boost at 5000 rpms!" during the test drive. I refrained, and then when I went to buy the truck, I made them get another unit off the back of the lot still in plastic with 7 miles! The other one had around 35, but 20 of them were probably under boost! I think it really depends on individual salesman's discretion, which unfortunately the dealership has little control of, in most cases.
