thank you xplosive, it makes me feel better that at least your offered. Yeah I definitely got scammed, the money order was cashed on oct. 10 and still no reply from him. Now I have to send $12 just to get a photo copy of the money order cashed. This makes me sick and I'm just about through with even trying to modify my car.

 

Don't give up! Go through it no matter how long it takes. He will scam someone else.

Since he used the mail for his fraud he could be in some serious trouble.

I don't plan on giving up, it will just be several weeks before i can do anything because i need to get that photocopy. Couple of friends here suggested that I go up anyways and take $200 out of his personal property but that would help me lose my case even though it would be highly satifying. Thanks for the link I will do some research.

 

Keep track of your time. You can sue for up to $5000 in small claims court. Come up with a price of say $25 an hour. Chart your research, mileage, and expeneses.

Hey you are actually on my way up to Chicago. Its going to take me a little while before I make the trip, at least 2 weeks before I can even get the photocopy of my cashed money order. But rest assured I will make that trip either for small claims court or to take it out if his personal property. Too bad no one near his area could lend a hand.

That address looks to be on some major thoroughfare/highway. It may not be a residence.
