On a side note, you ought to make the trip north to his home and break a knee or two and teach him not to mess with people's money that are from Kentucky!

I don't know how seriously you can take that link however, because unlisted #'s and addresses don't show up there. My name is Ryan DeGennaro, but if you put my name in you won't see any Ryan DeGennaro's in Houston. The only real way to do it is to go to: http://publicdata.com

I totally agree. Yahoo/Four11 is the poor man's way to find contact information - entry level if you will. Publicdata, US Search and dozens of other services can get you a lot more information if you need it. And depending on the state, social engineering can get you a long ways at the DMV/DPS as well.

But you have to start somewhere. The terrible mistake that I think a lot of folks in KYS2000's position make is to feel like that can't do anything about it. But at every level, fraud is one of the simplest crimes to fight. Before initiating a transaction, you can research your counterpart and ellicit feedback from others he/she has done business with. If you don't have that luxury, or something goes sour anyway, there are any number of things you can do to get satisfaction. I've often thought about writing a FAQ up or something - or maybe one already exists. The trick is perseverance for sure, though. My friends and I have a saying, "We're not big or strong, but we make up for it in angry." That's the only attitude to take with deadbeats and scammers: be the Terminator! Just innundate the weasels with spam and all of the most annoying things you can come up with, and don't ever stop - my longest running campaign was daily-to-weekly calls for five months - until you get things your way. And, as others have suggested, if push comes to bitch-slap, The Honorable Judge Thomas Lang has it all laid out neat and proper for you online (Lang, Thomas Hon. How To Use Lake County, Illinois' Small Claims Court. http://www.co.lake.il.us/circlk/scguide.htm. June, 2000)

Wicked cool. Glad you like it. Do you think you'll install it, or maybe use it for a project? I watched the Honda guys take it out and put in the black - it honestly looked like a real bear of an install; glad to have paid for it rather than ripping my own interior apart. Anyway - enjoy.

KYS2000 - keep on fightin' the good fight.

No way am I going to give this up, will I call everyday? Yes. If he is dumb enough to sign for that certified letter then that will confirm that he lives in at the address. In that case, I will a) File small claims court b)call his ass everyday as many times as I can c) drive up there after a and b and take my $200 worth of anger and frustration out of everything that is his that is possible including other greivances that I feel is signficant. I think that it might even help if members of this board knew that everytime someone rips them off they can come here to get First class advise. I will never close this thread in case this happens to someone else so that they can use this thread as a reference point in their battles also. Quality advice from quality members.

This KID messed with the WRONG person driving the RIGHT car.
