I think I got scammed need help.
Dude sorry to hear about what happened... in the future, to better protect yourself, ask your seller to send you goods via COD. But, offer to pay for all handling fees involved so that the seller will not have to shell out any of his own money to entertain your request, in other words, make it a no lose proposal for the seller. It's also a good way to test how legit the seller is. If you're willing to pay for everything and the seller still does not respond or feels there's a better way he'd like to deal... I'd reconsider dealing with the guy... just my 2 cents...
Oh by the way... something to cheer you up...

I learned the hard way about trusting people too. I attempted to get the V1 stealth install done by Chaz Sidote from Audio Dynamics in Pompano Beach, FL. You may remember this was posted by some of the Florida group guys - sweet install in custom formed lid. I sent Chaz a cashier check for $500 along with my lid and a brand new V1. That was back in August and I can no longer get a hold of him. I have his cell phone number and his mother's phone number. She has now told me that he has moved out and she doesn't know how to get a hold of him. I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and now all I can do is wait. He has apparently screwed several people. I am not optimistic that I will ever see my $1000 in parts in cash and parts back, but I am certain that at some point this will all come back to him.

Here is some federal information that will also help you in getting justice here. I am a POSTAL SERVICE employee. Here is the link for the POSTAL INSPECTION SERVICE. http://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/fraud/
In regards to your case, here is some helpful information:
Postal Inspectors base their investigations of mail fraud on the number, pattern and substance of complaints received from the public. The Postal Inspection Service is interested in your concerns and will carefully review the information you provide.
If you feel you've been victimized in a mail fraud scheme that in any way involves the U.S. Mail, submit a Mail Fraud Complaint Form to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
Basically, they look for frequency here of occurrences. If this scum bag has done this to others and it was reported, they will find it. It is the snow ball effect. If this person has proven themselves to be less than favorable, they will find and serve that person federal charges. By the way, minimum time for such offense is twenty years. I believe people fly right when threatened by federal agency over the local or state. No time will be reduced if charged.
I say go all out and fry this piece of trash! WKU style!!!!

If you can give me his info, name, phone number, and address I will go and check it. I have lots of connection with import guys here in Illinois including shops. I will see what I can do. I hate this kind of people.
RayN thanks for the offer, as of right now I'm waiting for the certified letter that I sent out to him to return back so that I can confirm that he lives there. Once that returns and confirms, then it is on, I will throw everything including the kitchen sink at him. He will recieve phone upon phone call upon phone call from me, my friends in lexington, in bowling green, and from here. Also, I will threaten him with local courts and federal actions. Basically, I want to try to scared him into giving up this fraud crap. If he's a professional con then he won't give in and I will go to court, but I don't think a professional would be dumb enough to sign a certified letter from a person whom he just scammed. If its some punk though, then maybe I can scare him enough to where I don't have to go to court and waste time or money if I don't have to. In the end, he's getting a kick in the groin. All I can do now is wait for that certifed letter to send a confirmation of his signature. From there I will decide what to do. Allen, I think I will email that link to him and then send him a copy of the form filled out against him. Maybe that will persuade him to give in. In the end, if this ends up on small claims, I will file for the max amount I can recieve from him and submit that form for further action against him.
If you guys decide to drive up to IL, come through KS for sure...I will caravan with you all....I am always up for a nice drive on the S and a dose of butt whoop...pisses me off when people "sell" stuff they don't haver

Depending on how much you paid for this part, I say take that 7hr drive, hunt him down, and crack him over the head with a 3lb sack of pennies.

YAAHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Well 3 weeks later and still nothing to show for it. That letter I sent came back to me without signature however I did get a hold of someone at that phone number. When I called and asked for the guy, they said he was gone, then the next day they keep on hanging up the phone on me, then rudely some guy shouts back at me to quit calling. I'm still waiting for the recipt of the cashed money order. But I was wondering if someone from around there could get a digital camera and get me some pics of his house. I know now for sure that he lives in that house there. I think I could scare him into giving my money back. Anyone?
