All test drivers and magazines will begin to use 55mph as the benchmark for acceleration starting in 2008.
With the way cars perform today, they need to use 130 km/h (80 mph) as the benchmark.

I'm not sure on this one, but I think the AP1 transmission is geared a little taller through the first few gears. It's possible that you'd be able to hit 60 by simply dropping in an AP1 transmission. I'd even be willing to trade you even for your 06 tranny

He wants to do 60 in 2nd so he can have a faster 0-60 time and not have to do the 3rd shift. However, the better gearing in the AP2 (via transmission) allows it to be DEAD EVEN with the AP1 in 0-60. The 0-60 mark is so stupid anyway though, we all know you're never going to time yourself so let's just say it's completely worthless to change the way your car performs in this area.

Yeah of course I want to do 0-60 with out shifting to thrid, that can help out alot. Maybe .1 of a second but it all adds up in the long run like weight reduction.

^ but what does your 0-60 time really matter anyway? It doesn't matter in the 1/4 mile, and it doesn't matter on the street. Nobody measures 0-60 except magazines. You're going for something that nobody cares about.

It may shave a tenth or two off your 0-60 due to 1 less gear change, but will hurt your 1/4 mile time. And really, who are you racing to 60 other than yourself? Sounds like you want an AP1 with slightly taller gears and a 9K redline

I'll save you a couple of thousand $$$$. Ladies aren't impressed by the 0-60.
