Idiots at Speed Lube
Well, unfortunately I'm in a small Illinois town and the closest dealership is 1hr away. Also, I've been really busy with work so I haven't had time to chg it myself. The next oil change I will start putting in syn myself.
I have been taking my truck to Jiffy Lube for the past couple of years and I am very pleased with them. They have had the same mechanics and manager for the last couple of years. They have let me stay in the service area while they work on my truck. Obviously any oil change place is only as good as its employees so I would try a place out first with my daily driver before I would bring my S there, like I have done with Jiffy Lube.
meinke (sp?) changed my oil on my integra. Somehow, when they removed the oil filter, they dripped it on the block or where ever underneath the car. My car dripped oil for a week.
On top of that, the dropped some oil on the valve cover. When the engine got hot, it would smoke and smell.
If you want something done right, do it yourself.

I don't think there was anything wrong with asking if it was DOHC or a manual transmission. You guys don't expect others to know everything about your car do you? Give them break.
The only reason why i don't go the Jiffy Lube or any quickie places is that they ALWAYS try to sell me sh*t- air filters, additives- and try to make me feel like i'm neglecting my car when I say no... Needless to say, I installed the Fumoto oil drain valve after my first oil change. Never have to jack up the car again- Just slide a oil pan underneath and flip the switch!
