idle hesitation and idle speed
I had the exact same problem when the car was very new (less than 500 miles). It only happened before the car got warmed up. After driving for away, the idle was normal again. I have not exeperienced this problem for the last few months. Strange...
i know i may get some flak for this, but after 12k miles, i'm going to switch out my plugs to iridiums and see if that helps.
i'm also doing the TB bore, maybe after resetting the computer it'll be better.
if not, then i don't know what else i can do.

I've noticed that problem long time ago and tried to troubleshoot it.
1. spark plugs o.k.
2. ignition coils o.k.
3. checked MAP sealing against manifold
4. checked closed butterfly sealing
5. reset the ECU
6. added fuel system cleaner
7. added octane booster
8. cheked TPS voltage
After all no improvement or sign of faulty part was present. Then people posted threads on severe hesitation when the airbox cover was removed, and i noticed that my hesitation appears only in stop and go traffic when engine compartment temp rises. I'm pretty sure it has to do with engine sucking in hot air while idling, and probably causing some carbon buildup on plugs or O2 sensor which take some driving or a blip at the throttle to clean. After blipping it idles o.k. for a while but after reaching normal speed and back to idle again it takes longer to appear. What I want to do is fabricate an extension on the OEM intake onthe airbox and seal aganst the hood to insure that only air from front of the radiator reaches the engine. I'm gonna try this after holidays and I'll keep u posted. It's hard to test though because in low temratures the problem is almost gone by itself.

I've had exactly the same problem originally mentioned since the first day I drove it. It happens warm or cold. That's one of the reasons I hate driving this car in bumper to bumper stop-and-go traffic on Mopac (mo packed than it was 3 years ago that's for sure) in Austin.
