your actually gonna try to compare a suped up version of a honda s2000 to the "world's best supercars".

Compare may not be the right word, but seriously...I think it's pretty easy to see what our car is or isn't...it's agreat car, but NO CHANGES POSSIBLE to make it ever be a wolrds best supercar.

Not trying to give ya a hard time.m You just come up with silly questions a lot.

How about 432 Wheel HP and 285 torque with more to come? Close enough for you?

i appreciate your honesty however unsuppored it was. try to explain in DETAIL why im crazy to compare. is it the money/cost that has you thinking of things in two different lights or the brand, etc. granted the thing wasn't areo designed to go 200 mph, but besides that, give me some concrete points please.

How about an S2k with 500whp AND a Pron style $%^&! (wishful thinkin'.. )

Seriously, even at a reasonable 350rwhp, this crap spins out! I will soon max out the Vortech, and I am "expecting even more wheel spin". Also, my rears are 19" x 10.5" HREs, not necessarily that small afterall (no pun intended).

A supercar has a lot more criteria than just more horsepower.

It needs to use exotic materials: carbon fiber body, titanium crap .

It needs to push the boundries of technology.

It needs to look fast, as others have stated, low and wide.

It needs to be limited and exclusive.

It needs to be expensive.

It needs a great CD.

It needs to turn heads.

It needs to go 0-60 in under 4 seconds while being able to go 200+.

All this needs to be "streetable."

There are EVOs and STiS that can go 0-60 pretty quick, but I wouldn't call them supercars.

Hell I wouldn't even call top fuel or F1 cars "supercars".

Now of course all of this is open to interpretation and I could honestly care less as to what cars "exactly" are supercars, but I know that putting in more HP in an S hardly makes it one.

I can call an "Apple" an "Orange". I can say that apples have the same qualities as an orange and justify it in my own head. "Look I can put in the same amount of seeds from the apple in the orange, then they'll be the same!"..."The red of the apple is kinda like the orange of the orange, maybe if I add more dye they'd be the same"... If you can justify that to yourself that they are the same and get the same pleasure from that then go ahead. If people look at you crazy, don't be surprised, its a natural reaction.

good points. i simply meant by driving experience. all the other stuff like exotic materials and high price tag wasn't computed into the original question.

did u ever see the top gear where an evo out did a lambo on a track? sure an evo might not be a supercar, but it begs the question, where's the gap?

Experience is the key word. I'm sure most cars can be fun. My civic was a blast to drive.

But go up higher on the ladder and you'll have "fun" along with the other points I listed.

Supercars allow you to have experiences that other's may never have. I'm sure a V12 screaming behind you is a lot different than a 4cyl w/ a snail on it.

I'd love to experience both, and many opt for the cheaper more livable version. I am seeing more and more EVOs and STiS than ever. I hardly see any S2ks. Why? For the money the EVOs are faster. But IMO the S edges out in looks.

With supercars you don't have to compromise. Well except for good fuel economy.

If someone offered me a modded S2K or a Lambo, straight up, I wouldn't have to pay for gas or insurance or anything and didn't have to worry about about lugging people around or maintenance. I'd pick the Lambo.

of course you and others would because of its social status. but take a lambo and imagine that it has lower social status than the S. you might still pick the lambo due to its looks, but really think about the status factor. how do u think a prius, basically a techno corolla, became a popular thing. celebs drove them. STATUS.

i believe that many old men (and women, Ms. Perky and friends) love and bought the S because they dont care so much about status as youngsters do. they know a good thing/deal when they see it, instead of letting status fog over their objective vision.

Well, it would probably be called the "2008 NSX" then.

I guess I just don't understand the question. I don't even want the S2000 to have 500HP. That's just a different category of car.
