if the S had 500 hp..
I like Dyhppy's questions. They get people talking...and keep their minds off of work while they're at work...case in point.
I think if an S2000 came factory tuned with 500hp it would be AWESOME!!!
ok enough of that.
Well...I think it would be called an S3500 or something like that b/c it prob. wouldn't have a 2.0....errrrrrrr....2.2L engine anymore. See if you can guess why I 'arbitrarily' picked the name S3500.
Additionally, as many others have stated, the car would surely gain mass due to needing heavier duty parts and, in some cases, larger parts. The price would be higher, the numbers production numbers would be lower, as it would fit less peoples lifestyles. I'll end this list there b/c it is boring and previously stated.

why are so many people being closed minded.

I just don't see the purpose in comparing an S2000, an Atom, and a Ferrari. They are three very different machines. You can't change one or two things about any of them and make them into another. We know each one for what it is.
(I also lol'ed at the Atom and S2000 being distant cousins. About the only thing they have in common is that they both have 4 wheels and use gasoline.)
one of many purposes of such comparisons is to give those who can only afford a s2000 an idea of how much of the fun can be had without spending the money. ie: if the atom is 100 on the fun scale, would the f430 be a 60 and the S a 70? of course it's a relative comparison different for each person, but simply saying that the machines are different doesn't make sense to me.
when you push the gas, does it not go, when you turn the wheel, does it not turn? comparing a jet to a car to a speed boat would be a stretch, but even still do able. fun is fun, ie i have more fun jumping out of a plane than riding a roller coaster.
it's all for fun guys. chill out. the board has been getting stale imo, 3 pages of something "ridiculous" spices things up.

What the heck is that about...Dyhppy is right...but why would you eliminate everything in the middle?
It makes as much sense as the following post will.
