I say if you'll be gone for that long, might as well wait for the 16X engine.

The engine we are building will be a second gen turbo short block. As for cost projections I'm guessing anywhere between 10-15,000 for the main part of the build and who knows with all the odds and ends after eferything os said and done. I'll pm prices for the motor tranny ecu and whatever else I'll be scrapping when I get home from work.

As for the guy who asked where I am in Germany I'm not there yet I'm going to be stationed there come next january and I'm hopeing like hell that we can finish this by then. I'm going to be stationed at katterbach. Not sure what that's by yet but when I get there you'll see me toting around on the autobahn lol.

if this is real and i doubt it, it is nuts, silly, and makes no sense at all, but the guy seems to wan to do it cause he can, that's enough reason for me....
This build is about as serious as it gets lol. I'm going to start pulling the motor and tranny as soon as i get a serious buyer lined up so I can fund the beginning stages of the build. I think the two longest stages will be the wiring and the motor mounts.

Yeah my friend has an 94 FC and he always makes sure to check the oil and change it every 3k. IIRC he's still on his first motor and he's pushing ~300 HP. He told me the 13B was finicky so you just have to keep close tabs on it kinda like you have OCD. So far so good for him.

HURRY HURRY! I wanna see the swap done already!

As far as the rearend the S2K is the same as the FC/FD IIRC as far as size. You'd probably just have to get a custom driveshaft made is all.
From what I've read Mazda gets their transmissions from the same company as Honda so I'm going to read up in that and see if the trans os the same one in both the RX-8 and s2000. If they are it will make things much easier for me in the long run wiring wise that is.

good luck with your build. I love seeing swaps, I don't particularly understand why your putting that engine in this car since they are both almost equally rated in power and especially when you say that your f22c is perfect. Regardless, I look forward to seeing this swap.

Your car will be worth little or nothing after the swap. Also the whole essense of the S2k
is lost. An opinion....You sound a little agitated or even angry in your posts, think this one out.History shows that cars that are too modified, whether GTOs or Ferraris are not
worth the effort put into them.

Although I may sound critical,I still give you my best wishes.

BTW..The s2k transmission is acclaimed to be about the best
if i was worried about the resale value of a car thats been modified then why on earth would i bother doing a build like this.

im doing this for fun and mostly just to see if i can do it. the real challenge is not what it will be worth but how much i will resect myself for doing this and driving it every day that i want.
