Took my S (30,000 miles) in to the service department to see what I could get replaced under warranty and was very happy with the results.

1. The black rubber knobs on the clutch pedal had worn off. I thought they would classify that under wear and tear. However, they ordered replacements for ALL the pedals including the dead pedal (keep in mind my year is a 2001) They're replacing ALL of them.

2. I also complained about the lumbar support on the seats which are now gone. I really didn't think I would get much out of it, as I thought this would be classified under wear and tear, also. But they went ahead and ordered the lumbar pieces and will take it to a interior specialist to install them (passenger and drivers). I thought the seats were all one part...guess not. The guy told me that their service dep't lacks experience in doing this replacement, so they'll take it elsewhere free of charge. (I'm really pyched about getting seats with support again!)

3. Rear plastic window. Although my window isn't horrible, it still isn't great either. So I thought it's worth a shot at a replacement. They guy told me to try the boiling hot water method or try the hand dryer method to remove the crease. If nothing comes of it, he'll talk to his manager to see what he can do. (but he's doubtful)

These 3 things bothered me like crazy, and now that 2/3 problems will be fixed I feel like I'm getting a new car again! Especially with the seats!

way to go man, congrats. My dealership is the same way. very generous on the warranty replacements. They replaced my center console for a wear spot no bigger than half a dime around the shifter trim ring.....i couldnt complain!

The only comment I've gotten is the first time I brought it in, one of the service guys thought my intake was a supercharger!!! )

But...no, I've never had a problem with any of my mods. I don't think you will either unless the problem you have is related to the mods. You should be fine.

You're right...I've never seen another black/red in the area...

I went to Autoway in Clearwater. I've had good and bad experiences with them. Have you been to the new Gateway Honda up near you?

Autoway did that??? Good for you, but not what I expected from them! I hope I can get that kind of service in the future.
