important question......
Hello i'm not an s2000 owner yet, but im sure that i will get an s2k during the month of april or may...whether it is used or not.....but i have been on this site for a a couple months checking out the beautiful cars....
my question that i have is, i talked to a guy who is recently selling his s2k for 25,000$
Modifications for the car are intake, headers, exhaust, vtec controler, fuel controller, carbon fiber hood, and rims, i wanted to know if this was a decent price for a used car. Im not that smart with cars and this will be my first buy if i get it. the car is a 2000 s2k with 41,000 miles. I checked on the kelly blue book site and the cost of a 2000 S would be 25,7 with the same mileage. he also said that there is a transferable warranty that comes with the car for next four years.....is he just saying that to make the deal better, or what? im not sure but i'm very interested....
Thank you in advanced for the help......
and hopefully one of these days i can show pictures on the site....

the price sounds pretty good. as for the condition of the car, most of the time when a car has aftermarket performance mods it means that its been into vtec-land a whole bunch of times. first test drive it and make sure the clutch is ok, and there are no obvious rattles or clanking noises going on. then, take the car to a honda dealership or a ASE certified tech to check over all parts of the car, and do a compression and leak down test. after these tests are done, you can make your decision. if the seller refuses to let you check out the car with a technician, he is most likely hiding something. good luck.
i talked with the guy for a little bit, but didnt get a chance to find a whole lot about the car, he says that he put in a second clutch.....not sure if thats a good thing or a bad....the only thing bugging me is the mileage of the car. the reason he says he's selling is because he is getting an m3.....im not sure to wait it off and find a different deal, or go for it.....
