Default Individual Throttle Body ?

I have been slowly going through the process of modifying my S.
I was just wondering if Individual Throttle bodies are available for the F20C.

Also would it be a good idea for some one who wanted to stay away from forced induction?

Any input would be great.

Thanx.

Are ITB's good for someone wanting to stay away from forced induction? I would say so since this is one of the most extreme NA (read: anti-FI) mods you can do. Before going to ITBs, that motor should be BUILT with NA mods.

You are now casting aside street driveability, low noise, air filtration. Is your car a track car? What mods do you have?

No offense, but what I've observed is that if someone has to ask about individual throttle bodies, they shouldn't be considering them in the first place. You should know what you are getting into with this mod.

Track car obviously. Last time I checked several companies utilize itbs for stock cars,BMW,and Ferrari are just some. Your case is valid, but I just would like to know if ther any companies out there that carry this product?

god seems everyone on this board jumps the gun and tries to cut anyone down with a question or suggestion. Do you even know about ITB's? no filters? you insane? there are many ITB manufactures who make perfectly streetable applications for many cars. research before you just up and decide to flame someone.

AFAIK, there are no bolt up applications yet for the S2K. You might contact AKH Trading/Toda to see if they have any plans. Otherwise, you could talk to TWM here in the US about at least getting the TB's. You'd still need to make a manifold adaptor though.

Some things you'll need to consider will be a balance tube for MAP sensor functionality and idle control. Alternatively a vacuum accumulator would be o.k. too, although that won't help cold idle issues. You'll probably need an aftermarket ECU as well, although a piggyback system might work out o.k. Every car is a little different.

You'll definitely want a system with filters. There is a euro filter company called ITG that makes a variety of filter setups for ITBs. Ideally I'd want a large plenum volume surrounding the TBs, but that's just me and wouldn't provide much if any benefit.

Expect to spend $1500-$2000 for a setup.

P.S. - ITBs work fine with FI. They simply improve flow and throttle response for whatever application you choose. And it makes it easier to implement variable length intake setups :-)
