Default Installed garage door opener =-)

You know that lil plate on the right side of the steering wheel, it looks like the cruise control button but it's empty... well we drilled a hole to put a button in it, and wired our garage door opener. Garage door opener is now held with zipties inside with all the other wires and shit. Now we don't need to search around in the damn secret compartment for it, just press the button, and bam. Kinda like how that guy wired it to his highbeams, but we got lazy and just used the regular battery and soldered wires to the button. =-D

The MY02 has a defroster switch for the glass in the soft top located there.

Any pictures of the wiring of it - or further description? What a great idea! I'd love to do this.

There is an interesting thread in Electronic forum here about wiring it to your headlights... a flip of the headlights as you approach and poof..it opens/closes..

I thought that was a neat idea (cuz I can't use this mod, my defroster switch is there too... '02 models)
