Question Insurance cost, wow...

Got a quote from my insurance today, as my GTI lease is expiring and I'm seriously considering the S2k.
$2000/year...for a clean driving record, Southern California married, multiple policies?
Seems steep to me, considering that I'm paying $980/year for an 03 GTI and even cheaper for an 04 WRX...
How is that quote in your opinion?
I'd like to get that car, but $166/month in insurance...

You can thank many factors. Bald tires, wrong tires for the season, the Fast and Furious movies, the increasingly lower prices and ricer tools taking them into the curb..., the list goes on and on.

Bottom line, yes, the S2k will cost more to insure, but it shouldn't cost 2x as much. Shop for another agent.

P.S., forgot to mention, I have a 2005 S2k and a 1997 M3. I pay about $120 per month for both cars, am single, and 26.

where are you located? He's in california and that's why the rate is so high. HOwever, it should not be that high unless he has bad credit and bad driving record

800+ ??Holy cow Do you own a lot of properties or something? That's unbelievable. I've never seen anyone with that kind of score.

High credit rating just means you owe people money.
