good luck with insurance mate i hope you make it through. i dont own a car at all, im 14, but i am hoping to get a 2k. well s2k's are sports cars, 2 door cars, (um you know) and all that jazz. but where i am, every 2 door car is the same, theyre considered luxury veichles. so if you have a 2 door, you will be paying 4500+ a year. this is for s2k's, integra's, and belive it or not, even 2 door civics and mitsubitshi lancers. i was told this by a family member, im not too sure if its for real but yeah. good luck again

FadiS2K, what is your budget for insurance and what coverage are you looking for? Also, what year and mileage is your S2000?

In my experience in looking for insurance I found that the S2000 added almost nothing to the cost of the policy, it was (as previously stated) zip code, age, gender, and driving record that determined nearly all of the cost. Sure, getting a less exspensive car will save you some money but that still doesn't mean a used S2000 will cost you a whole lot more.

BTW, I'm 23 and bought my MY03 S2000 in July and went through the same thing with insurance. And for perspective my roommate bought a $27k Accord Coupe and pays $20 less per month than me and my girlfriend bought my 98 Civic ($8k car) and pays $70/month less than me. If that differential is too much, consider selling, but to me I'd take my S2000 ($32k value) and pay an extra $70/month over my old Civic any day. (We all have similar coverage from A+ insurers with policies around 300/100)

Two stand out companies are:

Amica - https://www.amica.com/AWFServlet?source=&st...ableSave=Y&CMP=
Liberty Mutual - https://www.libertyquotes.com/auto

Well, you sound like a very responsible young person. It's best that you understand the value of money early in life. Good luck.

Wawanesa and Mercury were the cheapest when I was looking for insurance. FadiS2K, if you haven't checked with these two places yet, do so before deciding to sell. I don't know if Wawanesa insures younger drivers, but Mercury does.

I just found out Geico has the lowest rate for me. I saves about $300 off from my old insurance.
