sorry if anyone misunderstood my above remark, but i was speaking in australian dollars

different people have different priorities in life...some people are willing to pay $3000 / year for insurance to drive a S2000...and some people are willing to pay $3000 / year to go on nice vacations...etc etc etc
Best of luck with finding insurance!

Wow...after reading this thread I'm wondering if I should sell MY00. Basically, I'm almost 24 and bought a car that is a bit beyond my means. It's basically my life because it takes a lot of my money. My insurance isn't too high I suppose ($130 a month) but add that to a high car payment, it being my daily driver, and trying to keep up with scheduled maintenence/gas prices, my salary dwindles quickly.

I'm only young once though, and you never know how long you have. If it gets to be too much of a burden I will probably sell it but for right now I'm gonna keep on enjoying it

I'll tell you what. I have had my S2000 for two and a half years and only pay $70 a month for insurance becasue I only have liability. Some people call me stupid, but I saved a shit load of money. I am about to sell my car in about 2 months so I am knocking on wood until then. But just get liability and take the risk rather than sell the car. You only live once. What's the chances of you getting into an accident and it being your fault?
