The Injen cold air intake is a very nice part, nice tubing, a good K&N cone filter on the end, also comes with a dyno graph to show that it actually makes HP gains

I REALLY like that HKS intake but from what i understand they dont make it anymore unfortunately, if i could find one id jump on it. What about Injen, I suppose theyre not gonna be much different than AEM as it looks pretty much the same. I really wish i could afford the mugen but 1k plus extras necessary for the install is just way out of my league and just seems way too much for an intake, tho it was one beautiful piece of work! Where would the PRM intake add the HP at, as it stands right now im leaning towards getting it atm. I honestly cannot make up my mind if i need the HP down low or on the top end, i wouldnt mind getting the car off the line quicker and I suppose J's racing, mugen, spoon duct are ideal for that, but will they cut off power on the top end tho??? I DONT want that.

ok let me try to help you out a little more. hydrolock is not a big issue unless you drive in heavyly flooded areas or your car sits in the rain for more that 5 hours at a time. i live in SoFla and its pours down here all the time. and i don't have the bypass valve on mine. which is the device that stops water. i have driven in just horrible rain storms and low and behold no problems ever. i don't think they make the bypass valve for the v2 yet but honestly the V1 is a better buy it makes more peak power over the V2. secondly i will just talk about the spoon duct since you are not looking to spend 1k + for a intake. it will give your car better throttle responce but not killing your top end like your thinking. basicly it makes its peak power on the lower end and on high end the gains are minimal. but not loss. if you go the spoon duct i would recomend getting the spoon filter eliment and cutting the oem box like the spoon box, they take out the little sperater in the box and they remove all the extra pieces to the right of the airbox. in the end for everything you will be looking to spend around 400-500 if everything is new for the Spoon set up. i got the mugen intake so i have a used AEM for sale if your interested. PM me and we can working something out

I still would like to know about PRM? How well do they produce the extra HP and where on the band does it give the most HP and does it lose any?

so how is this mugen intake? i'm quite lost...a grand for an intake? is it worth it? i just got an s2k like a week ago and within the next few months, i want to get an intake, and i don't ever want to replace it. I want the best one and if it costs a grand, i'm willing to buy it. anyone know any more about this mugen intake?

well what are you trying to find out. its full cf. has a filter eliment on the inside. has a duct which comes down for the mugen SS front bumper. improves throttle responce. gains are about 4-5hp
