integra gearbox vs S2k
I had a 94 GS-R for 3 years. Also had a short shifter on it for a long while and I can safely say....nope. Our gearbox is better hands down. No disrespect toward the GS-R though. It still has a very good feel, better than probably any other car I have driven.....aside from the S
MANY MANY people, even from the outer automotive communities praise the tranny of the s2k. S2k tranny is widely known as quite possibly being the best manual tranny in the world. Nobody can touch it. Even porsches, bimmers, etc.... =)
I love the S2k gearbox, but the DC2 ITR has a GREAT gearbox as well. Very tight and precise. Back when I owned a 00 Civic Si and was more into B series, I remember reading something about the 98+ ITR's having dual synchros? I am not 100% sure what the exact phrasing was, but those are AWESOME gearboxes. I have an enormous amount of respect for the 98+ ITR's, and almost bought one - My paranoia without having a garage while I finish school was enough to keep me out of it though. The S2k is a better car anyway, but there is just something about those ITR's that gets me everytime. Maybe it's how rare they are - I'd feel terrible putting tons of miles on one.

I have an RSX and the shifter is very smooth. When I test drove the S2000 it was similar but better. This was an AP2 but I also drove an AP1 before. That was long ago though. I doubt they feel that much different. One of the best shifters next to the S2000 that I've felt was an 05 Porsche 911. Very nice shifter.
