Default Interest in GB on 2-tone leather steering wheel?

I've received an inquiry about the possbility of our offering a GB on our two-tone leather steering wheel. If we get 5-10 orders we can do these for $375, a savings of $50.

This requires a core exchange. We provide a new wheel, you install it on your car, then return your old wheel to us, which we recover in the leather colors of your choice, with extra padding that thickens the wheel about 1/8".

Anyone interested? Serious interest only!

Rick... Hm, no posts on this thread. Did you get any response to this?

I had some questions: The extra padding adds 1/8" in circumference? I just measured the top of the stock steering wheel at a circumference of about 3 3/4"... so it would end up at 3 7/8"?

Is it possible to get more extra padding? I've gotten spoiled by my Audi's sport steering wheel which I measured at the top of the wheel to have a circumference of about 4 1/8" (and even wider elsewhere!).

Also, re: colors, do you have any pics of black/silver? And could you do all black in color?

I've noticed you recommend professional installation in the past, is this still the case and do you have a sense for how much this could cost (or the estimated length of billable time for a mechanic)?

Sorry for all the questions. TIA!

SSK,

We would be able to add the additional padding you requested. I'm not sure what measurement we could eventually end up with, but we will find out. All black is possible. Installation time is less than an hour, so what shop you use would probably charge for a flat hour of service, whatever this is in you area.

Thanks ReedZ. I guess the silver color is pretty light, huh?

Do you know whether anyone else responded to the GB concept (& thus discount!)?

Look forward to hearing about the add'l padding.

Thanks!
