Interest in a Turbo?
After reviewing what has been said by turbo_pwr, and finnaly getting a hold of Ching, I have decided to go ahead and write Ching a check, despite the fact that it is no longer my problem. Appearently, after Fall Colors, Ching had tried to contact me, but lost my office number. Since then, I have had problems getting PMs(no idea why) and voice mails on my cell (lost the cell phone at Fall Colors) and this has all lead to a communication gap. I called him this morning and everything is going to be good
I appologize for any communication problems, and now that I am aware of the situation, can work toward rectifying it now.
Fed
Of course this is not my shipping policy, just ask the few people who have recieved braces from me even after the first one was "lost" by FedEx. Also, the turbo kits will probably go through e-escrow so we will not have any situations such as this with large amounts of money, that is if I decide to release the turbo kit after this mess.
BTW, Fed Ex's official stance on the situation was that the wheels were stolen prior to pick-up; looks like I am out a couple grand.
For anyone else that has issues, or comments, or questions regarding this matter, please feel free to call me
720-341-8350
I know that this looks bad, but believe me, it has all been a missunderstanding in communication.
Long story short, I sincerely appologize for any doubts in my company this may have caused, and hope to have this situation fixed shortly
If this situation has truly dampend your confidence in me, please let me know.

I can vouch for that lost cell phone.
I remember you talking about it on the way back to the Red Roof (or thereabouts) from Gettysburg. What a bummer!
Hey, if I find your cell phone and return it, will you send me a turbo?

Having dealt with such a situation before, I'd like to point out that if Fed-X or UPS (no idea on others) has the package in their system as being delivered then there is nothing the shipper can do, unless they agree to eat the costs as Mark has done.
Once Fed-X/UPS delivers a package, non-receipt of that package must be handled by the police/insurance because at that point the shipper will consider the package as being stolen. Both companies will assist the police in their investigation.
What is the status with the police? (reported? Investigation results? etc) It seems home owners/renters insurance would cover this. Was this attempted? What was the response (or reason for not reporting)?
NOTE: not being adversarial here, I'm just hoping that the rest of us can learn something from this unfortunate mishap!

i have dealt with Mark before, and he's been an upstanding guy. the payments he sent to me were lost twice in the mail system, and after informing him of this he quickly replied and said he'll re-send the payment. so i think this is just all an incident of miscommunication.
Hmmmm at least the situation seems to be resolved. However after hearing this horror story, I personally doubt that I will be doing any business with mdigrappa. I'm sure that he's an upstanding person and all but I'm somewhat bothered by the fact that he first believed it is FedEx's fault and wanted the buyer (Ching) to go after FedEx for the money.
I thought it IS the responsibility of the seller to ensure that the buyer receives the product. Whatever the case may be, if FedEx lost them or it got stolen on the receiving dock, it is the seller's responsibility to immediately credit the paid amount back to the buyer or re-send the product again. The buyer shouldn't have to call FedEx and try to get his money back through the shipper.
If you ask me, this entire situation just stinks of bad customer support and total lack of regard for the customer during the post-sale period.

The only reason I had him call was because I was instructed to do so by FedEx innitially.
I am sorry that this destroyed the confidence that people had in me, and as such I strongly doubt releasing any other products.
Thanks to those that have come to my defense.

This whole story is interesting but it will not affect my decision to buy products from mdigrappa.
Sorry that some a**hole stole the wheels, it is a shame (but respectable) that Mark had to eat the $2000 loss.
Now I would like to hear more about the turbo.
