I would want to make a clutch available as well as include it in the bigger kits. As far as volume, I am not interested in selling for money at all, I just wanted to make sure I am not spending money on ALL of the development, IE if I can convince my fabricator that it is worthwile, he MAY give me a deal (keeping my fingers crossed). It looks as though there is interest, but we will see when the kit is out. I can say though, I will most likely be doing it.

Assuming that the parts (IC, BOV, etc...) that come with the full stroked, bored, turboed kit are all high quality, and the full price including installation is under 15k, I'll take one. I would like to see a stronger diff added to the list, but will do so myself if need be.

I'd be interested in the stock internals kit, but I know the 11:1 really puts a ceiling on the boost (and thus hp) limits. I read in the last R&T about a tuner laser-fabricating a 5mm plate (basically a really thick head gasket) bolted between the block & head that dropped the compression 2 or 3 points on a VW VR6 engine they were turbocharging. The thing made 400+hp.

How 'bout it?

For those of you who don't know Mark (Mdigrappa) I can assure you he is one very smart young man who knows his way around Honda motors better then most here. We talk technical issues on the phone frequently and if he says he can pull this off....believe him! I know the houses he is dealing with well, and have used them on my '74 Pantera. The parts and houses Mark is using are TOP OF THE LINE NAME BRANDS. But I'm sure those of you that have seen his X-Brace knows how Mark works. Keep your eyes on this one gang it could get very hot!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Utah
As for a thicker head gasket, I will have to look into it. Top Fuel is getting 400 off of a stock motor with their kit (according to sources in Japan). My feeling is, if they can do it over there, then we should be able to match it over here.
I will keep all of you informed.

I'd be very interested. Seems like theres competition for a turbo to be completed? How much would the full deal cost? Derryk(dont knwo if i spelled it right) Has all stock internals and all the parts for the turboed s2000. Wastegate, BOV, Big intercooler, and so on. He makes 330rwhp with 6psi on stock internals. It costed him 5000 for the parts and is thinking 8000 dollars i think iit was for the labor and parts. He also tried it at 10psi with racing gas and he said he got around 400rwhp. Now, if your turbo kit is cheaper then that then its good and all but thats 8000 dollars *(or was it 9?)INSTALLED. IM not sure yet of the outcome and the problems he said he will let us know at the end of august.

The price is good, and I would be interested in finding out the quality of the parts used, as well as any problems. I am not in any real race to complete a kit, but more interested in completing the correct kit, which means mine may not be first, or cheapest, but will be comprised of ONLY the finest parts. My car is currently underway, but the motor alone will be taking about 12 weeks or more. There is no substitue for R&D IMO, and I want to leave no stone un turned. The turbo will take another few weeks on top of that. The stock kit will go much faster, and I should have a time frame shortly. I would appriciate it if everyone who is interested could send me an e-mail so that I can get a file going and keep you all informed without trying to reserect an old topic later in the development.
Thanks

Mdigrappa,

Looking at it from a buisness perspective, I highly recommend that you go with Stock Internals and low boost. Here is why, most of us love the stook the way it is, the only grip being a little more oomph needed down low. I believe that the majority here are NOT looking for 400+ RWP. If we were we would have bought a mustang or even an integ/civic(and do a swap with turbo). i know that the reason that i got this vehicle was because of the performance, styling, and resonable price. I feel that if you price it 8K you wont have as many buyers as opposed to pricing it at 5K. put your turbo in direct competition with computech. I bet that if you offered a turbo aplication for 5K with comperable horse power but more torque down low, you will see kits flying out your door. And the great thing is, this kit can come with "add ons" for those wanting more power. Start with a bare minimum application, one that is reliable and user friendly. And then have a stage two and three kit availible. The one thing I have learned in running my own buisness is that you have to first set your goals. do you want a 600+ horse power supra beater? Or do you want to sell quality kits to the masses. I bet you would make more money and satisfy more people doing the later.

Good luck!!
Bobby
