I seriously think that the dif and other associatiated parts are strong enough, I just feel that the rpm that people are launching at is unreasonable (the torque force at impact is HUGE!!!)
As for your waranty, who cares, if you break anything, Honda will not waranty it even if it is stock, pfb knows this pain as well as I do.
As for donors, he he, I think I have that covered.

1) Interested in more power.
2) Turbo may be answer to #1
3) Need more information on cost and results.
4) Comptech seems to think that this motor makes no more power than with their SC, even with higher boost.
5) I do not know anything about pistons and care not to.
6) I would love a sub 5sec 0-60 and a 12something qtr car and would be willing to drop 8-10K for one that was nearly as dependable as stock.
7) Not sure if #6 is possible.
8) GOTO 1
Thanks!

derryck hit a 12.1 in the 1320 with his turbo...high 11's if he gets more traction...

Okay I am thick but trying to understand this stuff

[QUOTE]
The pistons would be JE and I already have them working on the compression down to 9.5 for the turbo application.

What is this compression that you are talking about? is it the pressure of the air/petrol mix before ignition in the piston?

If so why would lowering it help with a turbo? why not just reduce the boost?

Sorry for being a dullard ....

You could get an 88-91 civic and run 11`s all motor for the price of an s2000 boost kit. If you want to drag race, just dedicate a car to it. Keep your s2k as a RELIABLE daily driver. An s2k making this much power will never see autoX or road race. Wast of money IMO

The OEM crank and rods are of forged steel

I would be interested in one of the balls-out kits but unfortunatly it will prolly run above 12 grand easily.

New cylinder liners/sleevs sounds good but you either send your block somewhere or do a core swap. Maybe offset grind a stock crank and lighten it for less than a prototype. And another concern is the open deck. Deck support? maybe 2 in one with the sleevs?

These efforts usually end up with a one-off or maybe sell 3-4, but the other, more simple kits, would be more economical.

Good Luck with it

BTW: I am also one of those idiots that spends 3 times the money just to do it.
