Interesting: 996 comparing to S2000
Porsches are great cars. They are quite the opposite of an S2000 in most ways. I tend to gravitate towards people that love ALL high performing cars and respect the character of each type of model. If someone's a fanboy with blinders on, well, that's their choice. I usually don't end up hanging out with them because they generally go over their stupid statement allowance for the day. It's just at this point in my life the S2K fits the bill for my needs, auto-x and track days.

I know a lot of people don't share the same opinion as me maybe no one else.. But i think porches are some of the ugliest cars out their. I wouldn't get one on that basis alone. I don't know why but i find them extremely unattractive.
I like big butts and i cannot lie!

I didn't think the S2000 was as harsh as they say. Maybe I was just used to broken college beaters until I got it, so the S feels quite comfy!
I find the S2000 to be a comfortable car and don't really understand when people talk about the suspension being really hard & firm because I don't think it is.

The car's suspension is definitely not harsh. It's not entirely comfortable like a Mercedes, but the car doesn't feel like it's on bricks -- and I have CR suspension.
I wouldn't say it's more harsh than a Cayman S or something.
One thing though, the S2000's wheelbase is on the shorter end of the scale. That may result in slightly less comfortable ride compared to cars with longer whelbase.
