You have to check out the official Honda brochure for the 2002 model. Observe the lovely spa yellow on the cover. Open the first page, and see a picture of the digital dash. The tach is at 8000 rpm, and the odomoter is showing 28 miles. I guess the advertising guys have not read all the warnings around here about avoiding VTEC the first 600 miles. The same advertising guys show the speedometer at 85 mph. Wait a minute, 3rd gear at 8000 rpm should compute out to about 81 mph. I guess the subliminal message is that the speedometer is not very accurate, and they want the world to know [my personal experience so far is that the speedometer seems to be fairly accurate, subject to a check or two vs. a measured mile].
