Also, the lights have got to make you nervous. Having stuffed my car into a sand dune at an autocross this past fall, I'm a little weary of that stuff.
Nah, the light poles at the AutoX are a non issue. The track doesn't even come close to them. I easily zone them out when I'm driving the course. If you do spin out on an AutoX course you're only doing 30-50mph so it's not like you're going to be sliding very far if you do spin out.

I noticed the camera was jumping up and down even before the car started moving.
I believe that's because the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) was turned on. CMOS sensors tend to have a rolling shutter effect. Once you get the camera going the OIS kicks in but when you come to a stop it's like it keeps on trying to adjust when it doesn't need to.

Oh, I see. It just a little shaky once it starts rolling, but much better than the other ones. Plus, our car isn't really smooth anyway!

here are some vids taken with Sony W120
the 3 vids on top is with my new roll bar camera mount

More info please..going to make up my mind soon. This looks like it would def be sturdier than the others and I don't think it looks that bad at all. It uses the windscreen screw holes right and how will this effect highway driving with the top down and no windscreen?

Nice driving btw

This looks like the most sturdy option.

they mount to the same mounting holes as the windscreen. the steel one uses the same screws from the windscreen. the aluminum one uses longer alen-head screws.
i made the steel one for something to use while i was working the aluminum one. i don't really ever pay attention to the wind blowing without the windscreen, so it's probably not that bad. you can fold the windscreen down and drive around to see what the effects are.

Dude, i'm not digging the idea of drilling the secret compartment lid!
That is the beauty of owning an 8 year old car that will eventually be a track-only car that I will NEVER sell.

Those mounts look really nice. If a camcorder on the Modifry mount doesn't work out I may be PM'ing you about one of those mounts. Do you prefer one over the other? It looks like the aluminum one is more sturdy.

both mounts are the same in sturdiness, but the steel one is a bit lighter and taller. the aluminum is is more bling
