As far as I know, I think you would need to change the speedometer reading from mph to kmph - don't know if our cars are able to just switch it electronically in the dashboard. You would need to go to a dealer or any other garage and get a emissions test (don't know the exact word in English; it's where they check the smoke from the exhaust... got it?) - since you have a standard exhaust, that shouldn't be a problem. yes, my speedo has a button to alternate between mph and kmph.
