Default Invention that Lucid Might Make

Lucid, (Or someone) - Can you figure a way to install the Monsoon 700 or 1000 speakers in the S2000? I think they would give us an incredible high end and being so thin they might fit in various interesting places. I was thinking that in the rear near the headrests. Like do the Lucid mod for the back with the 5 1/4's and then add these. (And guys who put $ 10G's into your system, I know it won't work for you! but for us humble other folks?????)

This sounds like a very cool idea.
I'll look into it.
I am also considering a line source solution using Bohlender Graebener ribbons.
I received them in the mail just the other day and will be doing testing over the next few weeks.

These new flat speakers have been a consideration from the start. What I like to build is something modular and easy to install. Possible ideas from for locations would be the visors and the HVAC panel or perhaps a center channel on the console box. Anything else would be a consuming custom professional install. It is the future of speaker innovation.

Lucid,
Wind is an issue. Keep that in mind. I traded emails with Bohlender Graebener and they expressed concern about wind gust blowing into the ribbon drivers that I am working with. I am willing to bet that this will be an even bigger deal for the panels we are discussing here due to the size and width of the component as compared to the ribbons (which are very narrow). The other consideration is the dispersion pattern of these types of drivers. I believe they are dipoles and I believe they have limited vertical dispersion. This makes door/kick panel mounting an issue.
