Default ITR vs S2000

how would a stock ITR compare versus a stock S2000. I heard that the S2000 should have a larger edge but then again some peeps have said that they could be on par.

depends on what contest you place them in. The cars are very different. They are both very good but very different in performance and price. If the age old argument of driver is eliminated the S will edge out the the R slightly in almost every aspect except roomyness. I drive both and love both cars dearly. When Im in the mood to scare myself I drive the S2000. When im in the mood for tons of fun and a car that I know the limits of very well i drive the R. hope this helps even though I didnt really say anything difinitive.

Do you want a fast, reponsive FWD hatchback, or a fast, responsive RWD roadster?

There is not that much difference in performance between the two, but from what I've been told by people that have driven both, it's easier to drive the ITR at the limit.

The only type R that matched up to me (both dragstrip and road course... I still mutilated him autocrossing) was my friend's ITR, it was making 201whp (stock it made 165) with a full Jun head, JDM pistons, JUN ECU etc.. Mugen coilovers. it was a pretty wicked car, wailing all the way to 9500rpms... it ran 14.0... but was still FWD... Stock to stock there shouldn't be much to compare.

they arent really comparable cars to begin with. That is why I said it depends on what you are after in a car.
