Sensors on the engine determine knock or preignition and retard timing as well as fuel flow.
Additionaly he stated he never revved it above 6k but once. No damage would have occured.
I find he has been very truthful and now you are scratching your ass trying to find some way to validate your attitude.

Due to the many negative posts to my selling the S2000, I have concluded that I do not wish to associated with anything Honda. I also had a 02 Honda VTX1800 and a rare 04 Honda Rune.
I sold the VTX this afternoon and I deliver the Rune to it's new owner tomorrow. At least it easy to sell Honda's.
For those that must see to believe here is a picture. I had posted this picture on this board before an "Three mighty Honda's".

I don't hate anything. I do like Corvettes and Harleys. What about being 6'3" and 240 lbs. don't you understand. I simply got to the point is was difficult to get in and out of that little car.
I like Honda's. It was just time to move on. I replaced the S2000 with the Vette and the Honda motorcycles with a Kawasaki Nomad and a Buell Ulysses for a trip to Alaska next June with two of my son's.
My money (lots of it) my life. Many of the comments were just plain rude, disrespectful, immature, and personal attacks. Not the kind of trash that I associate with.
