Itt we discuss driving technique
First video, was too hot going into the turn... but tried to defy physics and muscle it through the turn.
My best guess: Driver #3, not bad. Driver #2 knew what he wanted to do, but technique was lacking, Driver #1 looked like a noob.
Does anyone have the Best Motoring link to when they had amateurs try to drive the Amuse S2k? I remember the guy who thought he knew how to drive almost spinning on every downshift-rev match.

Second video, wasn't smooth on the rev-matching and had already started to turn in. Where was the girl's helmet??!!
Anyways the thing I noticed across all videos is that they upset the balance of the car by not staying on the throttle like they should. In all of them, it sounds like the revs are coming down freely as they're turning hard into a turn + perhaps not matching the revs well enough... Thoughts?

I agree the second vid where is the dam girl's head gear. Also she was a champ for not screaming.
The second drive looked like he was shifting wierd not sure what he was trying to do. Shifts sucked, but he was lucky he didn't grip and head into the wall.
Third looked like he hit a lip in the edge of the track, the break off just seemed to sudden.
1st- just baked his turn. But we can see that this car likes to spin.

It seemed that the root cause of all of them was lifting abruptly in an emergency situation.
The 1st driver seemed way off line. Obviously a newer driver to the track scene
Weather condtions may have been a factor in the second one, as there were no leaves on the trees (early spring or late fall=cold temps.) and the track seemed damp. The guy did a great job of counter steering, but never got back on the gas. If he had I think he may have been able to save it. Neither the driver or the passenger had helmets, WTF
Third driver was the best out of the bunch, he was pushing the car pretty hard and using the entire track. The track surface seemed a bit uneven and bumpy, he apexed a bit early and may have even dropped a wheel.

One of my jobs is to make sure things like that never happen, so ...
We got him blackflagged before he got to the second corner, but we stopped the fun runs until or flagman got back from the can.
It's amazing how even a little mistake can get out of hand so quickly and unexpectedly, and it shouldn't happen. I of all people should know better.
