Are you sure the "crack" wasn't the jack slipping off the jacking point of the car?

Where did you position the jack?

Yeah I learned my lesson for next time. Def will use jackstands.

I posted earlier, the "crack" wasn't the jack slipping off the car. It broke. It didn't work after that.

Glad you're ok. Better that you pay more now after having such a close call than pay with your life.

Not to be rude, but i find it amazing when people buy expensive mods for their car, but yet don't want to spend money on tools. Harbor-Freight, Autozone, etc. are all crap. You get what you pay for. Argue with me but it's the truth. Spend the money on great quality tools for the first time. Snap-On FTW!!!

true. we have mostly snap on or craftsman for the majority of stuff but got a cheapo set of spring compressors at harbor-freight and we've used them like 6 times and they still work great
it depends on what it is and how much it'll get used. I wouldn't buy anything I'd plan on using frequently or anything there though.

Thanks guys, even the last few days I kept thanking god that my hands weren't in the wheel well, and the wheel wasn't off!
