Jack points; jackstands

I do it all the time. It is totally safe.
The one caveat is that you should use a jack with a rubber pad, rather than bare metal.

Thanks to all for your help!
I store my car in the winter so I leave it up on 4 jack stands. I was really worried about jacking it up because once you jack up one corner there is not enough room to place a stand under the jack point. I called around and went to a few Honda shops (not that they know anything)
but we basically agreed that the rail would be safe to lift a corner and then drop the jack point onto a stand. I jacked the car up from a point a litte further down from the wheel well (eg. from the right of the jack point on the front drivers side) and used a piece of wood on the jack to distribute the weight. Not that it matters but I'm using a Michelin aluminum race jack. I think the key is using wood.

The S2000 is not the only car I've had with 2 jack points on each frame rail and a F/R jackpoint on the subframe/diff respectively. It's pretty common. The ramps are a good solution but since I do this often, I picked up an AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ floor jack. It's long enough and low enough over its entire length that I can roll it right up to where it is about to hit my bumper, and the saddle is right under the front subframe. Super convenient.

In the time since I started this thread, I've settled on a simple way to put the car on four jackstands.
First, I made a simple ramp out of 2 x 8 boards.
I drive one of the front tires onto the 2 x 8 ramp (necessary, since my jack won't reach the front cross member without the front of the car being somewhat elevated.
I then jack up the front, putting it on two jackstands. I do the front first, since the rear can be kept in place easily with the parking brake/transmission, and there's not such a secure way of keeping the front from rolling away on you.
Then I jack up the rear and put it on jackstands. It's easy and quick.

Here's what I do: I jack up the rear using the diff, and put jackstands under the hard points on the sides in the back.
Then I jack up one front side point with my second floor jack, just high enough to get my first floor jack under the subframe point.
The I jack up the front subframe point, remove the second floor jack, and insert jack stands.
A long and low floor jack would be a better alternative, but since I already had two normal sized ones....

here is what i do.
i jack the center of the rail, right where the drivers face would be, but on the rail. i use the flat side of the jack and i have a rubber pad in there.
i put 2 stands in, and repeat for the other side.
i believe that rail is safe all the way across, but there are reinforcements at the 2 ends and not the center, so as someone mentioned, the rail could dent, but i have not managed to dent mine yet. but the rest of my car is pretty dented

I used the diff and it worked great! I was able to fix my tire.
I have some of those low profile ramps that used to work on a very lowered Mustang I had. I think I can use those then jack from the cross member. Actually I am going to paint my calipers once it warms up alittle so I will test it out then.
Thanks for the help!
