The trunk catch ring (the part mounted to the trunk frame, not the lid) is adjustable. On my first S2k, the trunk lid didn't shut completely tight, but moving the catch ring just a little bit took care of that.

If you move it in the correct direction but too far, it won't latch shut. If you move it in the wrong direction, the trunk lid will be even looser. Just make small changes in the position of the catch ring and you should be good, just might take a few tries. GL
