I'm looking to have the S2000 as my daily driver but I currently have a 2005 GTO.

I had a Stage 3 S4 (387awhp) and a Single Turbo RX7 (405rwhp) as my car setup and the FD (on just shocks and springs) could definitely take turns way better than the S4 (on coilovers).

The 2005 GTO has just drop springs and no idea what the S2000 will have.
You are going to find the S2000 very slow by the looks of things........ other than that it is a great car.

No doubt about that. I test drove a brand new 06 GTO, and was seriously considering trading in my AP1 back then for one. The test drive had me getting back into my AP1 and feeling deprived. It faded fast though. It will be a huge transition, but perhaps one you will get used to and love.

As for the original thread, I often enjoy the switching back and forth from the S to my 06 DD VW Rabbit. It's so night day, as the Rabbit loses it's power at 5krpms(5800 redline), and the S is just getting going. Low end torque vs no low end torque. One is slow and pretty boring, yet so smooth and quiet, feeling like a luxury cruiser, and one is fast, loud, raw, and an absolute blast to drive.

Going from the S2000 to the RSX-S (281k miles) is always fun.... cars are so different....

But when going from the RSX-S to the S2000.... it is just soooooooooooooooooo nice!
Wow 281k miles, congrats!!! You must be very proud of her
Still love driving the car the same as when I got it... been very dependable.... looks great (except the front bumper and leading edge of the hood - rock chips)....

Gets 30 mpg normally...... burns maybe a quart of oil in 2500-3000 miles..... I'd get a new one if they still made them!
