Just came back from lunch...
Just came back from lunch with my co-worker... we went to a nearby Honda dealer (Miller Honda in Culver City, CA) to look around. We saw a brand new Mercedes C-coupe sitting on a flatbed getting ready to be roll down. It looks very very sleek
Anyway being bore we walked around their lot and saw a 2001 silver S2000 in their showroom. Almost immediately a sales guy came out and ask us if we were interested. I said how much, he told me $38,000. I nodded my head and asked the next question "Will you be selling 2002's?" He replied "Yes, for $40,000. It's the last year of production, so get them while you can! A collector's item!" I giggled and walked away.

the first dealer i went to before getting my ride.. the GM told me that 2002 is the last year they gonna make the s2k. and then i asked if they had white with red interior in stock, and he said the whites got replaced with yellow. and for 2002, the yellow will be replaced by blue. all i could say was... interesting... and then i got up and left. if you're gonna sell a product, wouldnt it be a tad bit helpful to actually KNOW what you're selling?
Miller Honda told me 39,999 about that 2001 on the Showroom floor on Saturday. I said good luck!
Although I paid an extra couple of thou for mine there, I did get free oil changes for the life of the car
, which is nice!
That will be around $30 x 16= $480 in savings for the first five years.

Do you get good and friendly, professional services from your dealership since you paid a premium ?
I didnt pay a premium, but the service guys at herson's honda think i got too much money and dont know jackshit about cars.
my 4th gear pops out during cruising, and herson's honda told me ..... "you are not suppose to cruise in 4th gear ..."
I cancelled my next appointment and left.

I walked in there on Sunday for the first time since I bought the car in March and the guy walks up to me and says "Hi, Matthew Cohen, how are you doing, how is the car?"
I couldn't believe he remembered my name, although I do leave everlasting impressions.
He was really nice and courteous, haven't had anything to complain about there yet.

I get my car serviced at Miller Honda and one day I went to check out the yellow S2 in the show room. So a sales rep goes to me and asks me if I was interested, and I just asked if they sold S2s for MSRP. Of course they said no. Then I told him I already had one and was just looking. Then he was trying to get me to trade mine for the yellow. I was like...I don't think so.
