My wife used to put her feet on the dash of the CR...that stopped when I gutted a deer in the bed of the Ridgeline...I gave her the same reason she always gives me: It's comfortable....

BWAHAHAHAHA! Thats awesome man! I have to say that I dont really have a whole lot of peeves. I drive my car solo most of the time so I dont have to worry about bolsters, or radio doors, or people slamming the door. And those that do get in the S know how I feel about the stuff that does really bother before they even get in.

This thread is funny.

My pet peeve is when I or other people do things to my car and other S2000 owners freak out because it's their pet peeve

Other S2000 owners: You're wheels are filthy covered in brake dust
Me: That's cuz I'm doing right.

Other S2000 owners: You let him autocross your car?
Me: It's what it's made for. Plus, he can't do anything to it that I already haven't.

Other S2000 owners: You're missing valve stem caps
Me: I'm constantly checking my tire pressures. They just get in the way.

Different strokes for different folks. Some see their S as a beautiful machine that must be kept in pristine cosmetic condition. Others see it as a car like any other that is meant to be driven - and if in the process, the cosmetic stuff has to take a hit, then so be it.

But yes, blatant disregard of one's own property isn't appreciated. Most people don't see cars as fragile as others do though.

I guess I jinxed myself when I read this, because the next person to get it my car slammed the door, and played with the passenger vent.

Every time after the first time he did it is YOUR fault.
You could say that about any of the pet peeves listed here.

I don't get why anybody would care about slamming the door. This is a sports car, ready for 140mph at the track right out of the box...how could slamming a door bother anybody?

Every time I bring up something that I don't want my girlfriend doing in the S, she gives me this look. The "I don't care" look. Then she says, "It's just a car." I practically get into fights with her because of how anal I am. After all, it's MY car, not yours. I want to keep it as long as I can. Like TC says, you can do whatever you want with your POS (hers is a '94 Accord and in crappy condition), but this is mine. Be a little respectful. Geez.

I know you're joking but I'm not. I gave a ride home to a friend and before he got in, I told him not to slam the door. He slammed it accidentally anyway. It depresses and angers me every time I think about it. From now on, friend or not, no one rides in my car.
