Is it just me...
I just hate when i've spent so much time in the parking lot looking for a space away from everyone and after a few minutes shopping I come out to notice people have parked big lifted trucks and everything each all around my car.
Also when im pulling into a parking space I make SURE that there is a 50/50 spacing on both sides of my car, so I also hate it when I return to my car and the person that parked next to me parked so close its hard to open the door to get in!
Haha! All of you have come up with some "classic" ones! It's a wonder how many of us share the same gripes.
Regarding the elbow dings, that actually happened on my previous car, which was a Teg. Most of it was on the top edge of the front fenders, which I assume was mostly caused by the mechanic. Others were on the trunk. LOL being on your knees with the S.
The worst is the lady who used an ice scraper on her door...at least it was her own car and not ours. I've got a few more:
1. Your passenger closes the door (not too hard) but too softly, causing it to not fully latch. He/she attempts to open it to make their second attempt, only to find it locked. Of all the body parts available, he/she begin to use his/her hips and believe it or not, ASS to try and get it to fully close!!!
2. You parallel park along a sidewalk curb that is too high. You warn your passenger to be careful when opening the door. They just don't seem to understand and the bottom edge of your door is now cabbage.
3. I've seen people use other people's cars parked next to them as door stops to help themselves gain leverage to get out of their own cars.

I am anal-retentive w/ almost everything, so it goes without saying that I'm going to be over the top w/ my car since I'm a car guy. I honestly don't like anyone riding in my car that isn't my wife (she understands and gets me, although she is guilty of hitting her shoes on the door sill getting in and out--I let her know it every single time ;-) )
I HATE when I have to take my car into the dealer, etc. to have work done--the whole time all I think about is "what are they doing to my car right now?!!" Ya I'm that bad! ;-)
Luckily my wife is the same way with her stuff, so she keeps the Benz in good condition--I still clean it myself, but she does a good job in between cleanings keeping everything nice

I'm not too anal-retentive about the S but I just remind people when they might be doing damage to the car. I've had one other S2000 owner actually lean up against mine when talking and had to remind him to not do that.
So don't assume that if they have an S or another nice car that they'll treat your S the same way you do. I actually shut the door with the class but I just use the pad of one finger in an inconspicuous corner. I'd rather have on the class they touching the paint since the top and windows are almost always down.
