if you care to hear, been using the new gears for over a week now. have gotten used to it, but it is just so easy to rev. there is a whining noise at around 55 mph. every S should be made with these gears. bogging isn't an issue anymore.

the car goes faster, but the traffic and streets do not really allow for much more speed safely.

Cool silver. The dealership has no problems installing?

I'm leaning towards 4.77s now, around January or February. I can't wait

I think I'm only buying the ring & pinion for whatever the best price I can find is, and OEM parts and installation kit from Rick's.

Is Rick's even offering the 4.77 anymore? I didn't see it on the site. I think it would be much easier if I just bought the entire new dif from them and sent back my old one, but again, I didn't see the 4.77 set available through them the last time I checked.

How horrible would it be to just change out my ring and pinion at a shop?

Just paid for my gears + install (core swap) from HTG also may be in my car in 14 days (we'll see how it works out).

I'm also going to get the K&N intake at the same time.. Can't wait. I haven't done a mod on my car (3 years) now but since its paid for and out of warranty no reason not to.

1. Hardtopguy sell the 4.77 and he will build a diff with them too.
2. We only sell the OEM parts to customers that have purchased gear sets.
3. Changing just the ring and pinion is not a job for the Honda dealer and their techs. Most of them have never set a rear diff. All Honda's are FWD. You will need to find someone that build rears in your area. Say a Jeep aftermarket shop. You know, they build rock or mud Jeeps. They always change the ring and pinions on them.

Of all of the failed installation we have seen over the years, Honda and Acura dealers have done the worst installs. They may have the info in the manual, but it takes some skill, and that they don't have.
