1. Hardtopguy sell the 4.77 and he will build a diff with them too.
2. We only sell the OEM parts to customers that have purchased gear sets.
3. Changing just the ring and pinion is not a job for the Honda dealer and their techs. Most of them have never set a rear diff. All Honda's are FWD. You will need to find someone that build rears in your area. Say a Jeep aftermarket shop. You know, they build rock or mud Jeeps. They always change the ring and pinions on them.

Of all of the failed installation we have seen over the years, Honda and Acura dealers have done the worst installs. They may have the info in the manual, but it takes some skill, and that they don't have.
it's like russian roulette with your diff if you try a dealership. lol

agreed. when i did ryans diff, i was like, it cant be THAT bad, ive set up countless ford 9inch'.. was i wrong. what a lame setup, with the shim under pinion. it took me a while, but i got it done. i cant imagine any *kid* from a dealer who does 40k's all day long, even having a chance with getting this right. if you even say "prussian blue" they go wtf is that. LOL so yeah, get someone who has a brain. if your in my area, ill help to anyone on this board. laters dave

p.s you will have to have custom shims made, or just go to the local diesel truck service facility, the kingpin shims for front ends will work perf. use a micrometer. later

No, the newer gear sets should take the OEM shims. We had this changed from the prior gear sets. There is still a chance that it could fall outside the OEM shims. But odds are it will fall right in. The set I had installed took a .124 shim. It was the exact same shim as the 4.10. So we should be good.

What I/H/E did you go with and why?

What do the different gears do for the S2K? Anything lost?

comptech CAI, Ricks header, and fuji exhaust, def sounds bad ass and a noticable bump in power

nope if you were stock and raced a stock car with gears you would pull 3+ cars, its equivlaent to 25whp.
