seriosuly when it comes odwn to it whatever intake you choose for the s2k as NA it wont do much. maybe a few HP here or there. Its not really a huge diff when we're talking about at max 2-4HP. If you want one that has been dynoed pretty good then get AEM V2 but then your gonna have a higher risk of hydro lock.

I mean several people still run stock airbox wtih a snorkler or a K&N drop in and they cant beat CAI s2ks.

K&N is louder than the Comptech so I chose the Comptech. If you think the Comptech fits poorly I think you need to look at the installer and not the poduct. Mine fits quite nice. You do have to modify the Carbon cover if you want to use the Factory hood prop. It was easier for me to use Hood Dampers.

don't get the FIPK.

I got it, thinking the exact same things everyone else with the K&N thinks. Cheaper, louder, no hydrolock, etc.

However, after having dyno'd my S, and being told that my FIPK is acutally sucking in hot air, I got school'd. Now, I have to start again in search of a different intake. Spend the extra dough and get the comptech.

It doesn't suck in hot air, whoever told you that is an idiot. If you installed the rubber around the box, that makes a seal against the hood so its only sucking in air from where the comptech sucks air from. Get the facts straight before you go off on a product please.

Anyone know if a sound clip exists that compares the different intake sounds? Kinda like that video clip of different exhausts?

my pick:

suck in hot air? loose a few hp? I could careless, I dont track my car and I'm not a street racer

definatly music to ear and really depends on the temp. in your area for it to suck in hot air. I dont see how it would be hotter or loose hp compare to the stock box though.

not to mention install is a piece-of-cake!!! it was fun playing with the rubber sealing too

comptech sits nicer in the bay with the cf I have to admit

go for CT if your bling bling!

cheers,
eric
