Thanks, that frame on the bottom is full CF? It doesn't look like it to me, but it's also hard to tell from the pics.

ok guys...that pic on the website is of my car. it's a good quality piece with screws holding the grill on the vent in place. there's also a nice border around the edge of the hood, that kind of frames it gives it a nice look to it.

however, the hood won't fit with the stock airbox in place. you need to find a way to lower the mounted airbox or it won't fit. when they made this hood, they made it for guys that ran intakes like aem, injen etc. their reasoning is that most guys that want a cf hood run intakes anyways. from my understanding, the comptech box won't fit either. also even with an aem intake. the hood still slightly rubs part of the piping.

Sounds like a poor design to me. If they're going to build a hood, why not build one that fits the car?

the quality of the hood is very good, but design wise i would have to agree that it would have been better if it fit the stock application.

as far as clear coating goes, i got to see a cf hood with clear coating and it made a huge difference. the hood had a very shinny wet look to it and it gave the cf hood a bit of depth.
