thanks guys. picked up my car from the dealer after swapping the 01 ecu with an 02 and the remote no longer worked. put in new battery, tried the 5-6 clicks to reset, and then tried programing it too many times. checked the fuse, it was fine, but replaced it anyway with a 15amp fuse that it called for (was a 10amp in there) and then did the reset and it worked immediately. not sure why, but i'm happy.
