I'm not sure of the Red, but Spa Yellow are common. During my extensive one month research (finally bought one ), the yellow S2K's were usually cheaper or right on par.
The priciest S2K color are white or cars with rare color combo.
Those were my only two color choices, too--Rio and NFR. Since you have to live with the color every day, I'd say hold out for that color you just can't live without...you're already paying enough money for the car, might as well be happy.
I went with the red, since that is the only rational color for a true sports car.
The Rio wasn't quite close enough to my school color--highlighter yellow...
When purchasing a used vehicle honestly you can't be that picky - it just depends on what is out there. However, I personally would wait until the right vehicle came along as opposed to just picking up a color you don't want at the right price.
You may really want an S2000 and be sick of walking outside seeing your current car. You are going to be just as frustrated down the road when you walk outside and do see your S2000, but realize you settled for a color you didn't want as opposed to waiting for the right car.
Although I am afraid to get a red car because my college has a huge rivalry with another college nearby (damn Stanford ) and I would need to drive to it to school sometimes.
And I thought that only people here in Nebraska chose a car's color based on school colors.
Anyway, I've bought cars that weren't my favorite color, but I wouldn't buy a car in a color that I didn't like.

Good luck.
Wow. I've got the opposite problem. All of the yellow, blue and red ones seem cheap and the silver is $$$. I'm in Atlanta.
I don't think you should compromise on color if it's important to you. I't just a matter of whether you can wait for a better deal. Fortunatey, since cars depreciate there's always going to be a better deal...

I'm not really choosing the car based on my school color. I have always liked yellow even before I started school here. I like red too, but its not worth being worried about vandelism while I'm parked on campus. It seems like for every 10 sebring or silverstone for sale, theres only 1 of the any other colors here. I guess I will wait on a better deal.
