No, but I had the stock filter changed on Monday at my 20k service - makes a big difference. I often wonder how much of the performance improvement people claim with 3rd party filters and plugs is simply due to the fact that their old ones were dirty and needed replacment anyway.

Acually part of the problem with "stock" paper-type filters is that the flow so poorly when new, that when the get the least little bit dirty they start robbing power. Aftermarket filters usually flow much, much better in the first place and it takes a lot longer for them to get dirty enough where it starts to affect performance! But I do think that many of the aftermarket intake setups (esp. those that suck hot air) aren't any better than putting a drop-in K&N in the stock airbox -- that is unless you're force-feeding (via turbo or SC) the car!

I just popped this one in:

Due to it's shape it has a greater surface area. No modification to the airbox was required, but I cut the baffle out anyway.

Just so you know, K&N does NOT yet make a filter for the S2000.

Currently, you have to perform some minor cutting inside the air box to make one fit.

I, for one, do not find the 2-3 hp gain important enough to justify mutilating my baby. If K&N comes out with a drop-in filter some day I will definitely install it. Until then, I'll stick with the stock Honda filter.

Why not put in a JR filter (since it's like the OEM but with oiled cotton gauze like K&Ns)? Just curious...
